Home Office X Remote work

Home office and remote work:
Understand the differences between the concepts First of all, it is important that you understand the differences between home office and remote work. Although the terms are often used as synonyms, they do not mean the same thing.

Home office means “home office” (lol). And that is exactly what the term represents. In other words, when someone is working from home, they are using their own home as an office. In this case, the worker uses the same environment to work and live.

Remote work, in turn, is related to the anywhere office culture. This term means “office anywhere”. In other words, in this case, the worker does not necessarily need to work from home, but also in other spaces. Among the possibilities are coworking spaces, which are shared offices, libraries, coffee shops with workstations, among other options. For many activities, the worker only needs to have a laptop and internet access to perform their functions. Therefore, remote work becomes something that these people easily experience.
Remote workers can work from home on some days of the week and go to a coworking space in other situations, such as when they need to meet with a client, for example. It is not wrong to say that working from home is one of the possibilities of remote work. However, the terms are not synonymous.
